Classical dance and music aficionados in Kerala are in for a grand visual feast as Kochi prepares to host the Maathangi Festival 2023, a five-day extravaganza commencing on October 2. This cultural celebration, orchestrated by the Maathangi School of Performing Arts in collaboration with Jtpac, boasts an impressive lineup of Bharatanatyam virtuosos including Navya Nair, Rama Vaidyanathan, Meenakshi Srinivasan, Priyadarshini Govind, and Janaki Rangarajan.
Dancer and Actress Navya Nair, the visionary behind Maathangi, articulates the festival’s core objective: “Our primary aim is to connect with gifted artists who yearn to refine their passion and cultivate their talent for dance.” The festival’s daily performances will kick off at 6 p.m. at The Choice School Campus Tripunithura, ensuring an enchanting experience for all attendees.
