In the last part of this series, we explained a few viniyogas of Mushti and Hamsapaksha mudras. Here we are explaining some more viniyogas of Mushti mudra.

Consent

Keep Mushti Hastha extended towards the side of the body as shown in the image. Open the palm and flick the palm in a swift upward movement only using the wrist.

Victory

Hold Mushti Hastha in front of chest and make a slight movement upwards towards the side of the body to depict Victory.

Bow

Hold Mushti Hastham in the left hand towards the right side of the body. Move the arm in a ‘U’ shape and end the movement toward the left side of the body as shown in the photo image.

Pertaining to self

This mudra is used to show a great powerful person such as a King referring to himself. Rotate the right hand held in Mushti Hastha in front of the chest using the wrist and then bring the hand still held in Mushti back towards the body.

Old age

Hold the hand in front of the chest and move like an elderly person walking with a stick.

Carry away

Begin the viniyoga with the hand held in Hamsapaksham extended in front of the chest. Form Mushti Hastha as if stealing or taking something and bring closer the body. The eyes must move side to side to depict stealth.

Food

Hold Mushti Hastha near the mouth to depict eating.
